“My belief in life is that we can all get along together if we try to understand one another.”
—Ray Hunt, Horseman
Horse Training
It begins with connection. Maybe you want to jump, explore trails, speed around barrels, ride upper levels or learn all you can about horses. Whatever it is, the way you connect with horses makes all the difference. Are you dominant? Scary? Unpredictable? Dependable? Secure? Reasonable? Riding a horse is a relationship that begins with a foundation of trust, safety, and partnership.
Horse Riding
We don’t ride on the horse; we ride with the horse. The same connection you make on the ground transforms to the saddle. Balance, strength, rhythm, and flexibility are cultivated when you and the horse are one. The goal for the rider is not to be carried, but to find the way together. Good riding form maximizes health for the rider and horse and this translates to all riding disciplines. We offer jumping, western, and dressage lessons.
The Bond
Connection with horses develops into partnership. This bond outlasts the test of time. Horses are strong, reactive and fast and working with them requires utmost self-control. To rehabilitate a horse, you start with rehabilitating yourself. You understand how another animal experiences the world and then you become the factor for positive change. If you love horses and want to learn how to work with them in a safe, peaceful and informed way, then this program is for you.
